Game: Rental Cost: Free to play Platform: Steam Finished playing this indie horror game. Rental is a short eerie exploration game and you play as the character Umi. In this game you explore the dangers of a renting house in an unknown area… I had so much fun playing this short game. ( you can finish this game under 10 min! + it’s also an achievement ) If you’re a fan for a slow spooky vibe you should definitely give it a try also, I added some of my fave screenshots of the game. 🗝️🚪

This personal project was greatly inspired by games like RE:7 and Condemned. They're immersive and had such a great sense of place, you could practically smell the mold!. I really wanted to try and recreate that feeling of those games. The project was done over about 12 weeks in my spare time. I put a lot of thought into building up layers in the environment, ripped wallpaper exposes old plaster, beneath which are broken wooden lathes. This was extended to the materials, where paint peels…
