We wanted to do a ring warming ceremony, but even with the few people we had coming, it would have taken too long. Instead, we had black and white rocks placed on the chairs and asked people to hold them during the ceremony, thinking good thoughts and wishes. A Ring Warming Ceremony is a when the wedding rings are passed around during the wedding ceremony for each guest to add their positive thoughts and/or prayers to the rings. The couple than takes the positive energy with them going forward. ​

The concept is simple: near the beginning of your ceremony, have your officiant let your guests know that your rings will be making their way through the assembled guests, with an invitation for each guest to hold the ring, say a silent prayer/blessing for your marriage, and then pass it to the next guest.
