To light a residence, 90% of your lamps should be 2700K, which is about what normal incandescent looks like. I would not consider any warmer (lower color temperature) than this anywhere. For less cozy rooms such as Office, Game room, Exercise room, etc. I might cool it off a bit and use 3 Recessed Can Lighting, Lighting Temperature, Can Lighting, See Things Differently, Office Game Room, Cozy Rooms, Heirloom Traditions, Exercise Room, Kitchen Needs
