View from my window of an O'Driscoll Castle, Baltimore, Co. Cork, Ireland. Nov 09 Castle was built by a Norman 1215. Dun na Sead became an ODriscoll holding in 1413. It isn't really a castle, it`s a hybrid between a tower, like the one at Kilcoe and the classic "fortified house" or "strong house". Dun na Sead is rare in that it is one of the very few houses of it`s kind left standing in the country.
