John Ingley
John Ingley is an executive whose experience in distilling the needs of line management and staff into the information requirements of senior management has proven invaluable in achieving financial management objectives. He has more than 25 years of experience in all areas of financial, procurement, program, and project management, with an emphasis on financial analysis, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication. Mr. Ingley’s work has included developing, integrating, implementing, and managing financial tracking systems and leading process improvement initiatives following the Capability Maturity Model Integration methodology.
Mr. Ingley most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Services Division Chief at the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), where he was responsible for the successful execution of BEA’s budget and administrative support of all BEA staff. Through workforce services, he ensured that staff had the training required not only to maintain but also to enhance the skills necessary to achieve the mission in the best possible way. Through financial management, Mr. Ingley oversaw funding requirements that allowed BEA to maintain focus on its critical mission of analyzing the state of the economy.
Mr. Ingley began his career as a Medical Specialist in the U.S. Army. He then held financial management roles with a variety of private companies as well as the U.S. Agency for International Development before joining BEA in 2013.
Mr. Ingley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland University College. He lives in Lake Ridge, Virginia, with his wife, two cats, and a dog. Mr. Ingley enjoys visiting his son and daughter at college, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
