Sunset Shimmer is one of the seven titular main protagonists of the Equestria Girls franchise. She is a female unicorn-turned-human student of Canterlot High School, who was a former student of Princess Celestia, a rhythm guitarist for the Rainbooms, the leader of the titular team, and Sci-Twi and Pinkie Pie's best friend.
