Here is a unique part to add a double lamp socket to your DIY industrial pipe lamp project. I looked all over online, and couldn't find anything else like it, so I created it myself. It's a black malleable iron tee fitting with two medium base (E26) bulb sockets mounted inside. It's available in four different female NPT mount sizes (1/2", 3/4", 1", and 1-1/4"). Two different socket types are available: • STANDARD: Weatherproof¹ sockets with rubber collar. Wire leads are 14AWG. • THREADED: These have 20mm (approx. 3/4”) threaded collars to fit standard 40mm holes for bulb cages or shades. Two mounting rings are included. Wire leads are 16AWG. As for the wiring, these are available with combined lead wires (for an easier connection), or with separate lead wires, which is great if you want to control each socket separately (or, for example, with a 3-way switch, where one socket is on, or the other, or both together). Electrical wiring experience is required to safely connect these sockets to your project. If you require a mount size or finish not shown here (i.e. brass, galvanized), please message me, and I can create a custom order for you. For example, see photo #6 of the double socket tee made in brass. All sockets and iron fittings are UL Listed. The sockets are rated for up to 250V/660W each. LED bulbs are recommended for maximum energy efficiency (they also run much cooler to the touch). Bulbs not included. This part measures approx. 3.8" (97mm) long (threaded model is 4.5” or 111mm), 2.5" high (from the end of the mount connector to the top), and 2.4" (56mm) thick. It weighs approx. 20 ounces. This listing includes only the double socket fitting and lead wires, as shown in the first 3 photos. Any bulbs, pipes, fittings, or bulb cages you see in other photos are for illustration only, and are not included. Brandings/markings on the iron fitting, and/or wire lead length may vary slightly, but I can assure you that basic design and functionality will be as shown and described here. Please check out the variety of other exclusive DIY lamp parts here in my shop, and I also over a wide range of functional light sculptures, ranging from $79 to $1,950 in my shop. Thanks for looking! ¹The term "weatherproof" refers to the sockets only. The black iron fittings are not treated or waterproofed in any way, so they can easily rust if exposed to water or excessive moisture.
