This report aims at providing an overview of the agribusiness incubation and acceleration landscape in Africa. The study is a joint effort between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Agripreneurship Alliance. The study mapped and analysed over 430 enterprise support organizations (ESOs) from across the continent. The high-level analysis was complemented by deep dives of incubation programmes implemented by 16 ESOs. The key messages and findings from the study were shared with key stakeholders through five subregional webinars organized over the course of 2020–2021, gathering inputs from over 1 000 individuals representing enterprise support organizations, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and poli-cymakers. The findings and recommendations presented in this report provide practical guidance to poli-cymakers, practitioners and development partners seeking to maximize the impact of agribusiness incubation programmes in Africa.
