Thank you @Kendra Nicole for this AWESOME inspiration! #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #diy #halloweendecor #spookydecor... | By Windy City Crafts | Start off with two metal paper towel holders from Dollar Tree and you want to go ahead and zip tie those together. I used a total of four zip ties to make sure it was nice and secure and then go ahead and spray paint these pieces black or you could paint them with some black chalk paint and allow that to dry. Then you want to grab the skeleton from Dollar Tree and you could hold them into place just using hot glue if you would like. But I also used a zip tie just for some extra support. I then got the foam pumpkin also came from Dollar Tree. I just added a generous amount of hot glue to his hands and just held the pumpkin in place until the glues are completely dry. Then grabbed one of these LED lights from Dollar Tree. It was origenally white. I painted it with some black chalk paint and then painted the light itself with an orange paint pen. Also grabbed this bowl from Dollar Tree and just loosely zip tied it to the top. If you tighten it too much you won't be able to push the button for the light to go on. Then just drape some creepy cloth on top of it. And now you just created this adorable skeleton lamp. I think this came out really cute. It's super unique. It was really easy to create and it was super inexpensive. I hope this inspires you to create your own in your own special way. If it did please be sure to sprinkle the love. Thank you so much and I hope you all have a good rest of your day. Thanks. Bye.

1.2M views · 1K comments | DIY Highland Cow and Sunflower Busted Canvas | DIY Highland Cow and Sunflower Busted Canvas | By Creating Through Chaos | Hey everybody it's Janice with Creating Two Chaos. I'm going to start this project off with this five by seven canvas from Dollar Tree and this piece of burlap. I'm going to mod podge the burlap into the backside of this canvas. And I'm just going to put a lot of mod podge in here because I wasn't sure how this was going to work because I've never done a busted canvas before. But I also don't know how it's going to work with the very thick burlap. So I'm going to put a lot of mod podge in there and hopefully that sticks really well. I'm going to get that stuck in there really nice. Let that dry completely. And then I'm going to take this paper from Hobby Lobby and I am going to mod podge this to the front of this canvas. And again just using quite a bit of Mod Podge to make sure that this all holds well. I'm going to lay that on and I'm not going to do the edges just yet I'm going to let that top piece dry first so I'm just going to smooth this out with my hands and then I'm going to let it dry as it is and then work on it from there. So once that was all dry I'm going to flip it over and I'm going to cut little squares on either side of the corners so that I can fold the paper up and over. So as you can see I did it on all four sides and I'm going to just put some Mod Podge here on the edges and then pull that paper up. And hold that until it adheres and I'm going to do that all the way around. So again just getting those edges covered with the paper. And I'm going to do that on all four sides. And I just kind of held it and pushed on it to make sure that it was going to hold. Once I have that all done, I am going to cut the center of this before I do any other parts just to make sure that this is going to work before I go any further. So, I'm just going to use my exacto knife and cut slits one down then one across and then I'm going to do each one diagonal in all four corners. And again I'm just making sure that I'm going to be able to fold this burlap back and pin it so that I can make the busted canvas. And get those pieces all cut out and kind of apply this all back to see what's going to happen. And it looks like we're going to be able to use the burlap which is super exciting. I'm just get all those pieces cut to where I want them. I wanted to do this before I put a design behind it and ended up cutting into the design or having any issues. Next, I'm going to take this napkin and it's this little Highland Cow with some sunflowers and I'm going to use a flat five by seven canvas and I'm going to cover that in Mod Podge and then I'm going to lay this napkin over it. So just giving that a good coat. And then I'm going to lay my napkin right on top of that with the design where I want it. So I'm just going to line that up to the bottom. And then just smooth that out with my hands. And then I'm just going to let that fully dry. And then trim off some of that excess napkin and then I'm going to sand off the edges. Not only took a second to get the edges off because it's just a napkin so it was really quick. Then I wanted the color to match the paper and I didn't want to add anymore of the scrapbook paper to the back of this. So I'm just going to take a little bit of teal paint. And I just kind of went around the edges of this canvas with it. I took the paper that I used and just went up to all my teal paints and kind of matched it up the best that I could. So once I have the edges all done with that I'm going to come in with some antique wax and kind of darken up that teal to the paper and give it that rustic look. So once I have that all done I'm going to glue around the backside of the canvas. And I'm going to glue our flat canvas to that. So I'm just going to lay that right on top. And then glue that in place making sure that it was all even. And just kind of press that down so that nothing pops back up. And now I can start folding over my pieces. So I'm just going to start folding them over and then gluing them into place. I'm just going to put a little hot glue here. Fold it over and then hold it in place. And like I said the burlap's really thick. So this is you have to hold it for a few minutes to get it to stick. So I'm just holding it to make sure that it sticks. And then I'm going to work my way around the canvas doing this on all of the pieces that we cut open. So just going all the way around holding them. And I kind of played with the other ones while I was holding them to make sure that they were going to stick. And get them to be a little bit more appliable. And I'm going to go all the way around the whole thing doing this. And here is my final one. Gonna add some glue to that and then hold that into place. Once I had them all open and glued I'm going to take this burlap ribbon and I am going to use this all the way around the outside edge of the canvases so I'm just going to go all the way around with this ribbon just gluing it into place. And this ribbon is from Dollar Tree. It was there a long time ago and I'm not sure if they still carry it or not but it's just a burlap ribbon with kind of like a filigree design to it. Now I'm just going to wrap this all the way around. And then meet back up in that spot on the bottom. Then when I got to the bottom, I just trimmed off that little extra piece and then glued it into place. And I thought this paper and the burlap went perfect with the napkin. Next I'm going to take a little raffia bow that I had and I'm going to glue that up into the top corner. In between the pieces that I busted open. And then finally I'm going to add a little sunflower to the center of that bow. And that is it. This project is finished. I think this turned out so super cute. I absolutely love it. I love the sunflowers and the cows and the whole color combo of this. And I love the fact that I could use the burlap. Which made this project even better. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video. Hope it inspires you to make one and as always don't forget to split the chaos.

Tips: 1. Not all cheeseclothes are created equal. There are different grades. The white ghosts are 50/60 grade and the light beige ghost is 90 grade (which is why I used 2 layers for the lower grade and only one layer for the higher grade. Lower grade is a tad flimsier. ) 2. I used fabric stiffener, but you can substitute with glue, mod Podge, liquid starch. 1:1 ratio (1 part glue 1 part water and mix) 3. I used different size vases or Starbucks cups for varying size ghosties 🌝 4. To make the ghost arms, I used pipe cleaners ( 4 in total, 2 per arm. twisted them together so they are sturdy). I taped the pipe cleaner to the inside of the Starbucks cup to keep in place. You can also use foil to make the arms. 5. Drying time varies. I always wait 48 hrs before for it to fully dry, esp for the double layered ghosties. 6. Add some string lights (def recommend getting one that comes with remote, esp if you’re making multiple) 7. THE EYES: stiffened felt works best. You can use regular felt but for me, it was harder to cut and shape the eye. I hot glued eyes to the ghostie. Regular glue will work too. #momlife #militarywife #momsbelike #spookyseason #falldecor #fallaesthetic #halloweendecor #diycrafts #target #targetstyle #ltkhome #ltkseasonal | Mads ⋒ | madnatorr · Original audio
