Here's how I made my graduation cap for the card I made yesterday. First start with a 1" strip of Basic Black card stock. Lay one point on the gutter of the paper trimmer, and the other end lined up with the 3/4" mark on the right side of the gutter. Then cut! Next flip the piece over, and line up the angle you just cut on the 1" line on the left of the gutter. And cut. That creates the mortarboard piece - a perfect parallelogram! Then punch a 1-3/8" square using your punch and another scrap…

I hope you have already been hopping around some of the links to see the amazing projects to inspire you. We don't really have any specific graduation sets in the current Stampin' Up! catalogue so a bit of "outside the box" thinking had to happen. And this is what I came up with. Cut hat with black paper, and made tassel. Adhered to silver glitter die cut paper, then to blue paper. Made a diploma with glitter paper, tied with floss. Stamped quote (Stamps in Motion), and adhered to card front. Made this for my grandson graduati
