The ring is made from sterling silver, so it's resistant to all usual environmental factors and it doesn't cause any allergies or skin irritation. It may tarnish and darken with time, same as all silver jewellery but if you don't like this antique look of silver, you can easily polish it back into a mirror finish. The ring is delivered in a gift box. Width: 1,5 - 2,3cm, depending on the size --I love the puzzle theme...as might be evident from some of my other works. --The ring is narrower on one side so it can be worn more comfortably - the narrow side should be on the inside of your finger. --It took me a while to gather my courage for this one. I have never been trained as an engraver, so this was a new type of work for me. Not quite perfect, but I'm satisfied :) The only flaw of this ring that I've ever found is that it has no corner pieces! Very difficult to assemble without those... 'wink' Ring sizes If you know your ring size already, you can select it from the dropdown, or, if the option isn't there, you can mention it in the personalization box, or the ""note to seller"" option. I haven't included all systems of measurement, nor all sizes as there is a technical limit on the number of options on Etsy. The last picture shows the ring size table on the right - the sizes and their relative positions on a measuring gauge, smallest on top and largest on the bottom for US, EU and UK sizes. They don't always completely align, but I have separate sizers for each system, so you can let me know your size in the system you use and not worry about conversion. For example, write ""US 16"" or ""UK R 1/2""). The best way to find out your ring size is to visit a jewellery store and ask to be measured, or to use a sizer of the same width as your desired ring, if you can get one. The second best way is to measure your finger yourself as described below: How to measure your finger: Cut a strip of thin paper (printer paper, or a post-it note) about 6mm wide (1/4""), wrap it around your finger in the place where you want to wear it (you can disregard knuckles and just measure where the ring is worn), make a mark where the strip starts to overlap, then straighten it and measure the length - in millimetres, the length is the size you'll need :) DOs and DON'Ts: The paper should go tight around your finger without constricting. Don't use a measuring tape, either around the finger or to measure the strip, as they are thick and tend to be slightly imprecise or stretchy (enough for the rings to be too large in most cases by a few sizes). Don't use a screen ruler. Measuring of the strip is best done with a solid ruler. If you don't have a metric ruler, use an imperial one, but send me a picture of the ruler on top of the strip, like in the 3rd picture on the left - I need to know the size as exactly as possible (down to one 48th of an inch, ideally), so something like ""about two and a quarter inches"" is far too imprecise :) If you run into any complications, or you have any questions to clarify the above, don't hesitate to ask - honestly, figuring out a ring size can be tricky at the best of times, so I'm happy to help if you need it :)
