Christina of Denmark, Duchess of Milan (1521-1590) was the third surviving child and second daughter of Isabella of Austria and Christian II of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Her first husband was Francis II, Duke of Milan, but they had no issue and he died in 1535. Henry VIII of England strongly considered marrying her, but Christina was staunchly opposed due to his reputation of killing his wives. She married again and had several children.
