Antique Velvet Make-Up Vanity Jewelry Box
Here is a beautiful vanity box from 1890-1910's. It is covered in a velvet the is a vibrant eggplant color and has silver handles on each side and a silver shield emblem on the lid center. I believe the shield was for having initials engraved, but this one is unmarked. There is some sun damage to one side of the box - you can see the fabric discoloration in the photos.
