I love Hands on Learning for Math. Everyday, after I teach my whole group lesson, I save 15-30 minutes for Math Centers. It is agreat time for me to provide math intervention to students, while giving other students the opportunity for independent practice and to work with their perrs and develop social skills. Unific cubes are one of my favorite manipultives for math centers in my kindergarten and First grade classroom. They are perfect for number sense, addition, and subtraction.
