How to iron pleats (linens): - At least five or ten minutes before ironing pleats/linens, give them a good spritz with water. Or else, use a damp cotton/light press cloth. - Set the steam iron on the ‘linen’ setting. It requires the highest heat, from 150 to 200 degrees. - Prep the skirt by pressing all the way around the waistband with the damp cloth on. - Find the pleat by pinching the top of the pleat and pulling it down on the bottom of the skirt. If necessary, pin the pleat in place. - Use the damp cloth to ensure a strong hold after pressing. - Press the pleat from top to bottom. - Always keep the iron moving constantly to prevent scorching.
