The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima Interestingly, Mishima has written at least one other book about the ocean, which i guess is not a huge surprise in how pivotal it is in the Sailor Who Fell from Grave with the Sea. Could this be to do with his nationalistic ideas about Japan and WWII? After all, the ocean played a huge role in the Pacific Theatre of WWII, with almost all fighting done on water.
