Third grade is a super important year for a kid’s school life. When you look into 3rd grade, you’ll see that this is the year kids move from just learning how to read to using reading to understand more things. During this time, your child is probably getting better at schoolwork, growing physically, and fitting in with friends. This DIY kaleidoscope using a toilet paper roll is a fun science activity and craft that teaches all about light, symmetry and reflection in a hands-on way. Younger children might need help with this STEAM activity, while second grade, third grade, fourth grade and up can do this STEM activity on their own. #stem #steam #scienceforkids #lightscience #craftsforkids #kidscrafts #handsonlearning Homemade Kaleidoscope, Diy Kaleidoscope, Steam Ideas, Science Activity, Steam Activities, Science Activities For Kids, Toilet Paper Roll Crafts, Stem Steam, Paper Roll Crafts

On my way in to school this morning, IT SNOWED! Well...it "snowed" Tennessee style. It looked like a blizzard of dandruff bits but for us in the South, that means a lot! It put me in the mood for all things winter and so I thought I'd put together a list of my Top Ten Favorite Winter Art Lessons. If you follow the link on each of these, you'll find a video for most and a lesson for all. Let's go! SNOW GLOBE CITIES! This lesson was a hit with my fourth graders last year. They really loved…

Lauralee Chambers🌀 on Instagram: "Time to share the donuts!!!

This was a really engaging and successful lesson for all 7 third grade classes! I had my husband drill holes in stacks of 10 plates with a circle drill. 10” plates are mounted on 12x12” paper with hot glue. Frosting and donuts are tempera and almost all toppings were grabbed at @retakeremake my go to for all things art! Displaying these was a game of strategy to get a variety in three rows across 36’ x3’ bulletin board. If you only see my posts, be sure to check out my stories every day!

@mychinet @retakeremake @dunkin @earthlingerin thanks for your 2017 post.
