KY Farm Bureau Young Farmer Scholarship


Scholarship Description

The Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation will award one $2,000 college scholarship and one $1,000 college scholarship for the 2021-2022 school year. Scholarship monies can be applied to tuition, housing, books, etc. Payments are made directly to the Kentucky college or university of your choice.

Goya Foods Scholarship Program


Scholarship Description

Goya has a long-standing history of giving back to the community. Through the Goya Gives program, the company has supported initiatives that help strengthen the development and growth of youth and educational systems.

Goya believes that every student should have the opportunity and access to education.

Every year, the Goya Scholarship Program rewards four (4) students with $20,000 scholarships to pursue a Culinary Arts or Food Sciences degree including but not limited to: Food Science, Nutritional Sciences, Nutrition and Dietetics, etc.



KY Dept. of Agriculture Student-Athletes Scholarship


Scholarship Description

Kentucky student-athletes who are involved in agriculture are invited to apply for one of six scholarships and recognition as a 2021 Kentucky Ag Athlete of the Year. The program is a partnership of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDA).



The Elizabeth Gardner Norweb Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship


Scholarship Description

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage studies and careers in the environmental field, with the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience beyond the regular course of study. The scholarship provides financial assistance of $3000 to one student annually for field work, research, or classroom work in the environmental field. Work may award academic credit but should be in addition to required courses.



The Mary T. Carothers Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship


Scholarship Description

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage studies and careers in the environmental field, with the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience beyond the regular course of study. The scholarship provides financial assistance of $3000 to one student annually for field work, research, or classroom work.  Work may award academic credit but should be in addition to required courses.



The Clara Carter Higgins Summer Environmental Studies Scholarship


Scholarship Description

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage studies and careers in the environmental field, with the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience beyond the regular course of study. The scholarship annually funds one Clara Carter Higgins scholar and one or more GCA Summer Environmental Studies scholars at $3000 per recipient in financial assistance for summer coursework in environmental studies.



The Frances M. Peacock Scholarship for Native Bird Habitat


Scholarship Description

The Frances M. Peacock Scholarship for Native Bird Habitat provides financial aid to study areas in the United States that provide seasonal habitat for threatened or endangered native birds and to tend useful information for land-management decisions. The scholarship provides financial aid to at least one scholar for $4500 annually. In special instances because of two unusually fine candidates or two candidates working on one project, the award may be divided between two candidates.



The Garden Club of America Montine M. Freeman Scholarship in Native Plant Studies


Scholarship Description

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage the understanding, development and use of underutilized native plants and was established to encourage the development of research, documentation, and teaching skills in the field of horticulture. The scholarship funds one or more scholarships annually at a minimum of $3000 to support study at an accredited college, university, or major botanic garden or arboretum.



The Corliss Knapp Engle Scholarship in Horticulture


Scholarship Description

The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage the development of research, documentation, and teaching skills in the field of horticulture and fund one or more scholarships annually at $3000 to support study at an accredited college, university, or major botanic garden or arboretum. Projects may include but are not restricted to plant propagation, photographic documentation of studies and research projects, the acquisition of skills for working with horticulture collections, and research in horticulture in the broadest sense.
