Kiyomizudera is one of the most famous temples in Japan. It was built in 780 on the site of the Otowa Waterfall in the hills east of Kyoto. Its name comes from the fall's pure waters, (Kiyomizudera, literally ""Pure Water Temple""). In 1994, the temple was added to the list of UNESCO world heritage sites and it's one of the must-see places in Kyoto. 📷 gk.kn
