Bust out your chain saw—with a new, sharp chain—and slice a pile of steppingstones. We cut these about 2 in. thick. Any thinner than that and they crack easily. Set them in your path, spaced at an easy walking pace. It’ll take some shuffling to get this just right. You might need to dig out a bit of soil underneath some of the steppingstones to get them to sit level and not rock as you walk on them.
