Excite your students with a clay house project that will grow their abilities in detailed relief sculpting as well as their creativity! In this project, students will create the front of a house out of clay. They learn how to roll good clay slab as well as how to relief sculpt by additive (slipping and scoring) and subtractive (carving) methods. Students connect their learning to the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, and consider major housing styles in architecture before creating their own design.
