Physical Requirements | Regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing repetitive motions such as typing. |
Shift | Monday-Friday, 8:00am 5-00pm. May include some overtime, holidays, and other shift requirements as needed. |
Job Summary | The successful Academic Technology Specialist I will coordinate and provide support to students, faculty and staff within the Academic Medical environment of UK HealthCare and the College of Medicine. Primary duties include: working with faculty to introduce new technologies for teaching; provide classroom support for medical school courses; utilizing existing technologies to enhance learning; providing support for canvas; development of web based learning modules (both internal and external to the LMS); support for lecture capture of academic courses (Echo 360); ExamSoft support; videoconferencing support; IT incidents and requests relating to academic technology for UK Healthcare. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Canvas or other LMS; Strong Microsoft Office skill (PowerPoint, Word, etc.); Windows/MAC OS; Teaching/instructional Technologies; videoconferencing. |
