Temperatures for the period averaged 58.0 degrees across the state which was 2.1 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 70.8 in the West to 67.8 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 2.4 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 0.5 degrees warmer than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 58.6 degrees in the West to 45.3 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 12.4 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 2.6 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 101.8 at Muhlenberg county and the extreme low was 5.2 at Harlan county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 15.48 inches statewide which was 0.79 inches above normal and 105.4% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 17.97 inches, Central 15.49 inches, Bluegrass 14.51 inches and East 13.96 inches, which was 2.20, -0.14, 1.26 and -0.15 inches respectively from normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 9.31 inches at McCreary county to a high of 22.17 inches at Harlan county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 48.5 degrees.
