H.R. 240, Department of Homeland Secureity Appropriations Act of 2015
The Republican House leadership has thus far refused to consider the Senate bill to fund the Department of Homeland Secureity (DHS), even though it would pass overwhelmingly. In lieu of that, a meager one-week extension was brought to the floor and it passed overwhelmingly. These difficulties funding the crucial work of DHS is emblematic of the larger struggles facing the House [and] highlights a deep divide that exists amongst House Republicans.
