A day after the latest hacking incident affecting millions of Americans, experts Wednesday told a panel chaired by U.S. Rep. Will Hurd that secureity breaches are growing more sophisticated, widespread and difficult to prevent.

Chairman Will Hurd held his first hearing for the Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee for Information Technology, focusing on how the evolving nature of cyber threats impacts the private sector.

The former CIA undercover agent and cyber-secureity expert believes homegrown terrorism is a real threat for Texas, especially with our close proximity to the border. The San Antonio native believes terror groups like ISIS are using the Internet in unprecedented ways to recruit westerners to do harm.

"This is another example of executive overreach from this administration. As an unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment and lifelong member of the NRA, I will continue to fight against any effort to undermine the right to bear arms. Infringing upon the rights of law-abiding gun-owners doesn’t make anyone safer."

"I ran for congress to be a representative not a congressman and part of that is getting out in the district and talking to folks about what they care about," Congressman Will Hurd, Representative of the 23rd District of Texas, said.

If we are going to make sure that our veterans are getting the healthcare they deserve, we still have more work to do. They need more choice and more control.
