Friday Severe Thunderstorm Threat over Lower Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians

Severe thunderstorms appear likely late this afternoon into tonight across parts of the lower Ohio Valley and into the central Appalachians. Large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes are possible. Strong to severe thunderstorm development is also possible across the piedmont of the Carolinas and Virginia, as well as across parts of the Ozark Plateau and adjacent southern Great Plains.
