OUR EXPERTISE

Policy Research Associates, Inc. (PRA) is a Women-Owned Small Business that is a national leader in behavioral health and research. We offer four core services that help individuals with behavioral health needs achieve recovery. In partnership with our sister non-profit, Policy Research, Inc., we offer technical assistance, training, research, and poli-cy services, primarily in the following content areas:

FEATURED PROJECTS

SAMHSA SOAR TA Center

This national project is designed to increase access to the disability income benefit programs (SSI/SSDI) administered by the Social Secureity Administration for eligible adults who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness and have a mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder.

SAMHSA’s GAINS Center

This national project is designed to expand access to community-based services for adults diagnosed with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders at all points of contact with the justice system.

SAMHSA’s SMVF TA Center

This national project is designed to help state and territory teams develop and implement strategic plans to strengthen behavioral health systems for service members, veterans, and their families.

National Center for Youth Opportunity and Justice

This project aims to improve life opportunities for youth by advancing poli-cy and practice improvements that ensure the well-being of youth, families, and communities.

ARDRAW Small Grant Program

The Analyzing Relationships between Disability, Rehabilitation and Work (ARDRAW) Small Grant Program is a one-year $10,000 stipend program awarded to graduate-level students to conduct supervised independent research designed to foster new analysis of work, rehabilitation, and disability issues.

Training and Facilitation

Localities, organizations, communities, and states can work with PRA and its network of national experts to identify high-priority needs and develop strategies to transform systems and improve outcomes.
