The Census Bureau Regional Offices are responsible for data collection, data dissemination, and geographic operations. Census Bureau Regional Offices conduct continuous surveys—other than the once-a-decade population count—to supply the nation with important statistics on people, places and our economy. We strive to provide excellent customer service to the people we ask to participate in our surveys. Our Regional Offices manage a network of professional field representatives who gather data by personal visit or telephone.
During the 2020 Census, temporary Regional Census Centers (RCCs) have been established under the permanent Regional Offices. These RCCs oversee decennial operations out of the hundreds of temporary local Area Census Offices (ACOs) nationwide. For regional or local 2020 Census matters, contact the appropriate 2020 Census RCC that serves your state.
The Census Bureau’s Regional Offices are committed to exceeding the high standards required by the Census Bureau and delivering excellent customer service.
