The DMV is temporarily offering early-morning weekday hours for new residents to transfer an out-of-state license and get their Nevada driver's license/ID and vehicle registration. See New Residents.
The DMV is now mailing large batches of registration decals from online renewals. Please be patient if you have not received your decal. If you mailed your renewal, please be advised we are several weeks behind in processing. Check Your Registration Status Here.
Nevadans who can’t renew before their driver license/ID expires should print the appropriate extension letter in case they need to present it to law enforcement. Your expiration date will not change.
Extension for Licenses/ID Cards through November 12
Extension for Senior Drivers 65 and Older
The previous extension on all DMV documents expired September 13. Vehicles must have a movement permit or full registration to be driven on public streets.
Most transactions at DMV offices in Carson City, Henderson, Las Vegas and Reno require an appointment. Walk-in customers will be directed to online services, kiosks or scheduled for an appointment as appropriate.

The deadline for in-person voter registration for the upcoming general election has passed. Any new voter registration or update completed through the DMV will not be effective for the 2020 General Election.
If you hold a Nevada driver's license, ID card or the Interim Document given out at the time of application, you may register to vote online through October 29 and at polling places during early voting (October 17-30) and on election day (November 3).
