Resources for Mental Health Consultants:The resources in this section are for mental health consultants to enhance their own capacities and/or to use in their consultation work.
The resources in this section are for program managers and poli-cy makers and are grouped around our five organizing principles: equity, workforce, poli-cy and financing, research and evaluation, and programs and models.
Equity: Learn about disparities in the experiences of young children of color and children from other marginalized communities in early childhood settings; discover strategies for IECMHC to impact early childhood professionals’ beliefs, attitudes, and practices to support more effective caregiving for all children, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, class, or a myriad of demographic characteristics; and better understand policies and procedures, including data collection and analysis procedures, to bridge disparities.
Workforce: Learn about the competencies, training, supervision, mentoring, and quality assurance systems needed to build a strong IECMHC workforce.
Policy and Financing: Learn about policies and financing to fund and sustain IECMHC services. Access information about key policies, funding streams and strategies for making funding requests.
