    Never use a generator indoors or in an attached garage. Don't connect your generator directly to your home's wiring or plug it into an electrical outlet. Make sure it is properly grounded and do not store gasoline indoors. Be sure to read and adhere to all manufacturer directions for safe operation.
    With widespread power outages likely along 's path, if you have a portable generator to use, make sure you follow all necessary safety precautions.
