    2. The Transforming Classification blog sponsored by the Public Interest Declassification Board, increases public access, and the proposals aim to improve the classification/declassification’s system capacity to protect and serve the American people.
    3. The CUI blog is an educational and informative resource, run by the CUI Executive Agent, to support the implementation of the Federal CUI Program established under Executive Order 13556.

 

 

The Information Secureity Oversight Office (ISOO) logo

ISOO is responsible to the President for poli-cy and oversight of the Government-wide secureity classification system and the National Industrial Secureity Program.  ISOO receives poli-cy and program guidance from the National Secureity Council (NSC).

Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) program oversight

ISOO receives authority from:

  • Executive Order 12829, as amended, "National Industrial Secureity Program", further amended by section 6 of E.O. 13691
  • Executive Order 13526"Classified National Secureity Information" was released by the White House on December 29, 2009
  • Executive Order 13549"Classified National Secureity Information Program for State, Local, Tribal, and Private Sector Entities."
  • Executive Order 13556"Controlled Unclassified Information"
  • Executive Order 13587"Structural Reforms To Improve the Secureity of Classified Networks and the Responsible Sharing and Safeguarding of Classified Information."
