About ARH Our Lady of the Way Hospital

ARH Our Lady of the Way is a 25-bed acute care hospital located in Martin, Ky. Established in 1947 by the Sisters of Divine Providence of Kentucky, the facility, which serves Floyd County, has been part of the Appalachian Regional Healthcare system since 2017. In addition to emergency care, the hospital offers a variety of services including rehabilitation, mammography and sleep studies. The facility also operates three community clinics as well as a retail pharmacy. Additionally, the hospital offers skilled nursing “swing beds,” which provide an opportunity for patients to transition from observation to acute care to extended-stay post-acute care without changing rooms. Skilled nursing through swing bed care typically lasts 7 to 21 days, as the goal is to prepare patients for a return home. ARH Our Lady of the Way is a DNV Acute Stroke Ready hospital and received the 2023 Rural Stroke Achievement Bronze Quality Award for Get with the Guidelines.
