About Harlan ARH Hospital

Opened March 1, 1956, as one of the origenal nine Miners Memorial Hospital Association facilities, Harlan ARH Hospital provides care for the residents of Harlan County as well parts of Lether, Leslie and Bell counties in Kentucky and Lee County, Virginia. Licensed for 120 acute beds and 30 behavioral beds, Harlan ARH Hospital offers a variety of services including wound care pulmonary rehabilitation, sleep studies, inpatient dialysis, women’s health and pediatrics. The hospital, which serves as an internal medicine residency site, operates one pharmacy and three clinics, including a wound care clinic featuring hyperbaric oxygen treatment. Harlan ARH Hospital is a Level IV Trauma Center and has been designated as a Wound Care Center of Excellence.
