Why We Like The Osprey Transporter 120L Duffel
From climbing protection to tent-life essentials, Osprey's Transporter 120L Duffel carries and protects it all. We comfortably haul our load with the padded straps that tuck away for a snag-free ride on the bag check conveyor belt. The brawny material doesn't flinch through the jostles of baggage handling, while its dual-sided coating and zipper rain flap stop downpours from soaking our gear.

This bag is only good for grocery shopping
We bought this duffel bag for a trip to Africa as we needed a soft bag for small aircraft flights between game lodges. We were restricted to 15kg each so the bags were packed pretty lightly. After the first leg on Qantas there was a 15cm rip across the bottom of the bag. Our two other soft bags that were both about 15 years old and have been used a lot were still perfect. As we continued on our journey the bag showed more and more wear. Lots of scuff mark scratches where the fabric was damaged but not ripped all the way through. This was whilst the bag was carried to our rooms, put by us onto seats for transport or lifted by us onto aircraft. By the time we got home the bag looked so battered we are wondering if it is even worth getting the main rip repaired. Of course the Osprey ""All Mighty Guaranteee - Any Reason, Any product, Any Era"" is not available in Australia. Bags are not covered if they go on aircraft. So we are wondering why they market this bag as ""rugged"" which it clearly is not...or ""transporter"" which is also not covered unless it is by car or bus. No more osprey for us!
