At least 20 people have been arrested on suspicion of looting during the wildfires raging in Los Angeles, according to officials.

The Daily Mail reported Thursday that the home had been destroyed.

The decision affected properties in some of Los Angeles' richest neighborhoods, including 1,600 homes in Pacific Palisades, one of the areas that has been hardest hit by the fires.

The Laken Riley Act is named after a college student who was murdered last February by a Venezuelan immigrant who had previously been arrested for shoplifting and then paroled.

"I live in Herefordshire. We live on a flood plain, so flooding has always been part of life there," he said.
