Tonight the weather will feel quieter, as the area of low pressure which brought snow and rain this morning has cleared eastwards.

But Storm Bert is now centred on the north-west of the UK and is due to track eastwards across Scotland throughout Monday, bringing heavy showers and strong winds.

The BBC spent two weeks with Civil Defense Force crews in the Bekaa Valley, which stretches eastwards to the border with Syria.

The rest of the country is expected to see strong winds and a band of heavy rain pushing eastwards on Friday.
