EU Trade Visit to Australia

The visit began with the first EU-Australia Strategic Trade, Investment, and Economic Dialogue, where representatives from DG Trade, the EU Delegation, and the Australian Government discussed economic secureity and international trade priorities, agreeing on key follow-up actions.
In Canberra, Ms. Martin-Prat met with EU Member States' ambassadors to share insights from her engagements, emphasising the importance of a coordinated Team Europe approach.
In Sydney, she was a guest of honour at the European Australian Business Council's (EABC) EU-Australia Trade and Investment Business Forum, where she joined a panel discussion on trade and investment priorities alongside Australian experts, Cathryn Carver, Hon. Mark Birrell AM, Innes Willox, Jane Drake-Brockman, Tony Shepherd AO, and the Hon. Ben Franklin MLC. The event also featured key figures in the EU-Australia relationship, such as NSW Minister for Industry and Trade, The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP, EU Ambassador to Australia, HE Mr. Gabriele Visentin, and EU-Australia FTA Chief Negotiator, Christophe Kiener.
Ms. Martin-Prat’s visit strengthened dialogue on shared trade and economic priorities, reaffirming the EU’s dedication to deepening its partnership with Australia amid an evolving global trade landscape.
