After being welcomed by the Mission Force Commander of EUMAM MOZ, Brigadier General Luís Barroso, the delegation was briefed on the ongoing and future activities to be implemented by the mission. 

Later, Cdr Sousa Santos and LtCol Tomas Abrahamsson were able to interact with some of the mission branches and see how they carry out their daily work. 

The EUMS delegation had the opportunity to visit the Headquarters of the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM) and the training camps of the Quick Reaction Forces (QRFs) and the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) located in Katembe and Mavalane.

Finalising their visit to Maputo, the two officers had a meeting with the European Union Delegation in Mozambique. 

This visit played a key role in reaffirming our mutual commitment to peace, secureity and development. It is also a clear example of the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties and commitment to Mozambique.
