eOne Health recognizes how the health of people, animals, plants and the environment is interconnected and interdependent. Through a One Health lens, we can better understand and address complex challenges, yielding more efficient and comprehensive solutions.
When One Health is undermined, it has a widespread social and economic impact on well-being and environmental ecosystems around the globe. Greater investment is required at every level to enhance the resilience of agrifood systems in the face of pests, diseases and other threats, including climate change and environmental degradation.

This Fund is aligned with FAO’s Strategic Framework (2022–2031) and the One Health Priority Programme Area. The programme of work is coordinated with that of the Quadripartite collaboration, forming a fundamental contribution to the One Health Joint Plan of Action to support governments by delivering on priorities identified through the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and regional and national development plans.
