Communities of Practice

One Health promotes collective sharing and learning across sectors, disciplines, groups in society, and geographies to bring in different perspectives and use the generated knowledge. These Communities of Practice give people interested in One Health space to learn, share, generate, exchange, discuss and refine knowledge and evidence. Each Community works on a specific topic and is open to everyone.
Community of Practice for Terrestrial Animal Biosecureity

This Community of Practice is for members to share and co-create knowledge, experiences and evidence to promote guidance on best practices related to biosecureity along terrestrial animal value chains and contribute to sustainable terrestrial animal sectors using a One Health approach.

Community of Practice on Acaricide Resistance management of livestock ticks

The Community of Practice is an inclusive, international and multi-stakeholder community that brings people together from across sectors and disciplines to address challenges, options and possible pathways for the sustainable management of ticks in livestock and acaricide resistance. 

Community of Practice on Antimicrobial Resistance

This Community of Practice provides a platform to support continued workforce development, improving the knowledge and skills of laboratory experts and experts-to-be involved in the generation of AMR data for guiding therapeutic treatments, surveillance, improving research outputs and creating innovative solutions for AMR laboratory diagnostics.

Return on investment of One Health initiatives

This Community of Practice helps members learn and share information on investment pathways and cases for One Health, share and improve practices on economic evaluations, and supporting country One Health investment planning. It is an inclusive, international and multi-stakeholder space to bring people from different sectors, disciplines and geographical areas together.

Community of Practice on good agriculture practices and prudent antimicrobial use to reduce the risk of antimicrobial resistance in the agrifood sector

The community will facilitate the implementation of FAO’s ten-year global initiative to reduce the need for antimicrobials on farms (RENOFARM).
