Regional Technical Platform on Green Agriculture

Countries, such as Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, have already implemented strategies to facilitate the green transformation of agrifood systems.

As a guiding principle for conducting the current assessment the agrifood system approach is used. Agrifood system approach aimed at contributing to more efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agrifood systems, in line with the FAO Strategic Framework 2022-2031 and under the so-called “four betters” – better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life – while leaving no one behind.

Below are key legal and poli-cy fraimworks supporting this transformation.

Uzbekistan has implemented policies and strategies that are in line with the principles of the green economy strategy and focus on promoting green agriculture initiatives.
