States submit annual reports of their CMAQ obligations each March. The annual reports should reflect all of the projects for which CMAQ funds were either obligated or de-obligated. The FHWA uses these yearly submissions to maintain an active database of CMAQ investments, trends within the program, and other anecdotal information focusing on the program's performance. The annual reports are submitted through the CMAQ Tracking System and the project database is available through the CMAQ Public Access System.
