Laurel Lam
Background
Laurel joined the FRS Team in 2019 after completing a M.S. in Marine Science at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories where she studied life-history variability in groundfishes. She has over 10 years of field experience in conducting fisheries independent and dependent surveys, leading and assisting in research dives and collections, and driving small boats and trailers for state and federal agencies.
Current Research
Laurel currently works on the Southern California Shelf Rockfish Hook and Line Survey. Her research interests include investigating spatio-temporal and oceanographic drivers influencing groundfish distribution and disentangling the effects of marine reserves on target and non-target fish populations.
