Rule 7022. Interpleader

Fed. R. Civ. P. 22(a) applies in an adversary proceeding. This rule supplements and does not limit the joinder of parties under Rule 7020.

2024 Committee Note

The language of Rule 7022 has been amended as part of the general restyling of the Bankruptcy Rules to make them more easily understood and to make style and terminology consistent throughout the rules. These changes are intended to be stylistic only.

Committee Notes on Rules—2008 Amendment

The rule is amended to conform to the changes made to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure through the restyling of those rules effective on December 1, 2007.
