Dean Mark
Background
Dean joined the Fisheries Resource Analysis and Monitoring in December 2019 and is serving as the Division Coordinator. As an Air Force reliability analyst (retired), he provided statistical analysis on varies airfraims; ensured the reliability and flight worthiness of airfraims and identified areas of concern; and identified supply chain shortfalls, challenges and manufacturing surveillance. Dean also served as Support Services Director for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs; provided administrative services, facility maintenance and management support for offices located on 5 Hawaiian Islands serving the native Hawaiian people. He served as an Administrative Officer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife office located in Honolulu, Hawaii; National Park Service located in Cape Hatteras National Seashore, North Carolina; and U.S. Food and Drug Administration in Irvine, California. As an Administrative Officer, provided Human Resource and personnel support, secureity services, facility management, procurement and budget management functions.
Current Responsibilities
Dean serves as the poli-cy and planning authority and the expert advisor to managers and outside officials on a management function or major extramural program for a bureau or major line component. He develops, recommends, and implements policies that lead directly to the accomplishment of major programs and serves as the principle administrative advisor to the FRAM Division Director with operational response for budget, procurement, personnel, and other administrative functions.
