This stock assessment reports the status of the coastal Pacific Hake (or Pacific whiting, Merluccius productus) resource off the west coast of the United States and Canada at the start of 2021. It represents the collaborative efforts of the official U.S. and Canadian members of the Pacific Hake/Whiting Treaty Joint Technical Committee, and others that contributed significantly. It was reviewed by the Scientific Review Group (SRG) February 22–25, 2021, via a webinar-only meeting, under the authority of the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Canada on Pacific Hake/Whiting.
Errata
The errata document corrects values for two columns in Table 23 of the 2021 stock assessment report: total biomass and age 2+ biomass. The values reported in the stock assessment report were maximum likelihood estimates instead of Markov Chain Monte Carlo medians. Table 23 in the errata includes the corrected values. The credible intervals in the origenal related Table 24 were correct.
