West Coast Region Education and Outreach

NOAA Fisheries envisions healthy ecosystems, communities, and economies on the West Coast that are resilient in the face of change.

NOAA Fisheries envisions healthy ecosystems, communities, and economies on the West Coast that are resilient in the face of change. To support this vision, the West Coast Region’s education and outreach team develops hands-on lesson plans, citizen science programs, and outreach events. They are all based on NOAA Fisheries’ cutting-edge research that are designed to bolster literacy in ocean, coastal, and climate sciences.

We aim to provide timely, science-based content to educators that inspires students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and other disciplines critical to stewardship.
