REPORT DATE: 09-05-2019 REPORT TIME: 0100 UTC REGION: GULF OF MEXICO SUB REGION: N/A AREA/BLOCK: PULLEY RIDGE 949 IMAGE DATE: 09-04-2019 IMAGE TIME: 1556 UTC DATA SOURCE: LANDSAT8 MODE: Multispectral RESOLUTION: 30 meter LOCATION: 25°01'22" N/82°45'22" W AREA: 0.51 square kilometers (Updated 05/26/2020) CONFIDENCE: High REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. Anomaly appears to be emanating from a repeat leak source, stretches roughly 2.4 nmi towards the W and measures 0.2 nmi at its greatest width. Measured winds at the time of observation were 5 kts and from the WNW. Confidence was determined to be High given the sharp contrast of the anomaly to its background surroundings and given the history of the repeat leak source. UNCERTAINTIES: There are no uncertainties.
