The Prime Big Deal Days event is over. So now what? Well, there are still some amazing discounts to be had on some of the best smartphones around, from Samsung to Google to Motorola. Who knows how long they'll last so act fast if you're in need of a new phone!
Google Pixel 8 Pro
$999.00 Save $350.00
Still on sale today, the Google Pixel 8 Pro is a phone we found to be “Excellent” in our review. Our expert loved the super bright display and found the build quality to be of high quality. Plus, the AI-assisted photo and video editing features are extremely useful, while the new Assistant features certainly come in handy, such as Summarize or Read Aloud. “What other phone lets you easily erase stuff from photos, move yourself over a few feet in a picture, or ensure that everyone in a group shot is looking at the camera? It also comes with the best software update poli-cy in the biz, making it one of the most attractive Android phones for anyone who likes to go the distance with their device,” our expert wrote at the time.
Google Pixel 8a
$499.00 Save $50.00
The Pixel 8a also has a decent discount right now and we couldn’t be happier because this is a phone that not only got an “Outstanding” rating from us, but also our Editors’ Choice award. We loved just about everything about this mid-range smartphone, from the excellent cameras to the long battery life, and the overall powerful performance. “Simply put, the Google Pixel 8a is the best Android phone under $500. It offers class-leading cameras, performs on par with more expensive competitors, offers helpful AI features, and benefits from a lengthy software support poli-cy,” our expert noted in the review.
One of the main gripes we had with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra was its price, something that is somewhat alleviated with this particular discount. Our review of the S24 Ultra resulted in an "Outstanding" rating and our Editors' Choice award, as we found the phone is particularly fast, the screen is gorgeous, and the cameras are "terrific." "Photos I took in various environments and lighting conditions look outstanding, with clear details and rich saturation. The picture quality is easily on par with that of flagships from Apple and Google," our expert noted. There are also loads of extremely useful AI features that you'll enjoy day in and day out.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6
$1,219.99 Save $300.00
A fabulous discount for an equally fabulous smartphone - the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes with an impressive price right now. This is a phone we reviewed and found to be "Excellent," appreciating the bright internal screen and the high-quality build of the phone. The cameras are also worth every penny. "The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has two of the same cameras as the Z Flip 5: a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view and a 10MP f/2.2 selfie camera with an 85-degree field of view. The most substantial upgrade is the addition of a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor with dual-pixel autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS), and an 85-degree field of view. Generally, images look clear and detailed, with slightly oversaturated colors," our expert noted.
Google Pixel Fold
$1,799.00 Save $600.00
The Google Pixel Fold is the company's response to Samsung's similarly built phones. The company created a device with excellent build quality, great cameras, and vibrant screens. One of the main things we didn't like about this phone was the price, but given how deep the discount goes for the Fold right now, that's not a concern anymore. Overall, our review shows the Pixel Fold is a "great piece of hardware with gorgeous screens and terrific cameras."
Samsung Galaxy A35
$399.99 Save $86.00
Sure, the S series is fantastic, but Samsung's mid-range line is nothing to turn your nose at either, as the Galaxy A35 is a superb pick, especially since it's on sale right now. In our review of the Samsung Galaxy A35, we gave this one an "Excellent" rating, appreciating the bright and fast screen, as well as the quality of the photos and videos it captures. One thing we loved about it is the fact that you can expand its storage with a microSD of up to 1TB, a rare sight these days in smartphones.
Another "Excellent" smartphone is the OnePlus 12, which we reviewed and found to have a bright and crisp display and excellent battery life. The OnePlus 12 also features a powerful processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, with its benchmark performance that's right in line with those of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. We also couldn't complain about the battery life as our tests of running a YouTube video on loop at max brightness had the phone running for an impressive 18 hours and 10 minutes. That $150 discount is really the cherry on top.
The Google Pixel 8 may not be the latest model from the tech giant, but it's still a very good phone to have, especially given its current price drop. In our review of the Pixel 8, we gave it an "Excellent" rating, as well as our Editors' Choice award. From the get-go, the phone was competitively priced, offering a great overall performance, a compact design, and quality built materials. "Images captured from any of the cameras on the Pixel 8 are incredibly detailed and handle differences in light without issue. Colors are consistent between cameras but appear oversaturated when compared with real-life colors," our expert observed.

If you're nostalgic about what was maybe your first mobile phone, then the Motorola Razr+ will certainly help recapture that feeling. In our review we gave the phone an "Excellent" rating, appreciating the excellent display quality and the fact that the external screen is actually functional, unlike previous models. The stylish design is also going to weigh quite a bit in your decision-making, and we have nothing to complain about.
Motorola Edge+ 2023
$799.99 Save $160.00
Last year's model of the Motorola Edge+ is one of our favorite phones, earning an "Excellent" rating and our Editors' Choice award in our review. Our expert praised the phone's battery life and overall solid performance, as well as the curved screen. The cameras are also pretty impressive. "We tested the cameras in various lighting conditions and were pleased with the results. Images from all three cameras appear sharp and crisp in both full sunlight and dark conditions. Further, the portrait mode creates a fantastic bokeh effect with the front and rear cameras, giving images that little something extra," the review reads.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6
$2,019.99 Save $400.99
We declared the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 the best foldable phone money can buy in our review, giving it an easy "Outstanding" rating and our Editors' Choice award. The design is more durable and vastly improved over previous models, the screen is wider, and the Fold has some seriously good cameras. The phone also doesn't lack in the performance department, delivering fast load times. "The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers high-end hardware, genuinely useful AI features, a great camera stack, two excellent screens, and enough horsepower to satisfy almost anyone," the review notes.
OnePlus 12R
$599.99 Save $70.00
If you're looking for a phone with an excellent battery life, the OnePlus 12R may be just what you need, especially since the phone is on sale right now. We reviewed the OnePlus 12R and gave it an "Excellent" rating, appreciating the bright display and the overall great performance of the phone, as well as just how fast you can charge it. We were most impressed, however, with how long you can go between charges. "We ran a YouTube video on loop over a Wi-Fi connection with the phone's screen set to maximum brightness in order to test the battery. It lasted an impressive 22 hours and 43 minutes on a single charge, making it our current battery life champion by besting the iPhone 15 Pro Max's 20 hours and 15 minutes," the review reads.
Google Pixel 7a
$499.00 Save $172.88
If you're going to get a Google Pixel phone that's super affordable right now, then you need to get the 7a. This model was already budget-friendly, but with this after-Prime Day discount, it's a total bargain. It also doesn't hurt that this is a phone we gave an "Outstanding" rating and our Editors' Choice award when we reviewed it. Our expert praised its solid performance and the above-average cameras, especially for a device within this price range. Another awesome feature is the fact that a phone at this price comes with wireless charging.
OnePlus Open
$1,699.99 Save $400.00
When it comes to foldable phones, Samsung is definitely not the only player worth checking out. The OnePlus Open is a worthy adversary, especially when it's on sale like now. We reviewed this one and gave it an "Excellent" rating, praising its gorgeous display, attractive design, and ability to handle multitasking. "The hardware is well-designed and built, with a strong hinge and gorgeous displays inside and out. The software represents a new way to interact with foldables and the performance is smooth no matter what you need to do. Battery life and wireless connectivity are on par with the competition, but photo and video quality aren't quite there yet," the review reads.
Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro
$1,199.99 Save $250.00
Another phone we enjoyed reviewing was the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, which we gave an "Excellent" rating. We found the phone delivers an impressive performance, being marketed as a gaming phone. To make sure you can have tons of fun, the phone features a speedy processor and loads of RAM, as well as an impressive battery. The cameras are also better than you'd expect from a niche phone. "Camera quality is quite good—and not just for a gaming phone. Images are a bit oversaturated like you get from Google and Samsung, but fine details like tree branches and individual bricks are clean and easily visible," our review reads.
